Priory Free Range Foods is based at Welton Farm on the edge of the village of Ruskington in the heart of Lincolnshire. It is a small organic family farm producing fantastic organic eggs and delicious hogget lamb, produced in accordance with both the Soil Association and Organic Farmers and Growers standards.

We are Mark and Heather Thorogood and with our two children, Zoe and James, manage the farm. We took on the custodianship of Welton Farm in 2005; Heather being the third generation of her family to farm the land.

The farm has been managed in an environmentally friendly way for a considerable number of years; Heather’s father has planted woodland and developed an extensive network of mature hawthorn hedges which provide a wonderful habitat for a huge range of wildlife. This same environment is also perfect for keeping farm animals to high welfare standards as it provides natural shelter and shade.
