Welton Farm is a small organic family farm producing a wide range of organic produce, produced in accordance with the Soil Association standards.

We are Mark and Heather Thorogood and with our two children, Zoe and James, manage the farm. We have only recently taken over Welton Farm; Heather being the third generation of her family to farm the land.

The farm has been managed in an environmentally friendly way for a considerable number of years; Heather’s father has planted woodland and developed an extensive network of mature hawthorn hedges which provide a wonderful habitat for a huge range of wildlife. This same environment is also perfect for raising farm animals to high welfare standards as it provides natural shelter and shade.

In October 2006 our land was certified as organic by the Soil Association. We are inspected annually by the Soil Association as well as being potentially subject to a spot check at any time. If you would like to know about the organic standards we adhere to please do not hesitate to ask.
